John LoRusso commenced practice at Eastwood Eyes in December 1999 after graduating with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1995. During his studies, he undertook international clinical placements at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and at the SUNY College of Optometry in New York, USA.

With over 30 years of experience in optometry, John is passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised eye care to patients of all ages. He has developed a special interest in binocular vision, myopia control, orthokeratology and specialty contact lens fitting, and regularly manages complex visual conditions requiring tailored treatment approaches.

John is fluent in Italian and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure his patients benefit from the latest advances in optometric care. He is a professional member of the Optometry Association of Australia, the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) and the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania (OSO).

Outside the practice, John enjoys coaching his daughters’ soccer team and spending quality time with his family. John is available for appointments at Eastwood Eyes every day except Wednesday.
